One-day-trip downstream the Saale river from Dornburg to Bad Kösen.

"Starting early in the morning, 23 daring PhD-students tried their luck with messing the floods. The whole-day canoe trip downstream the Saale River was a small but wonderful adventure on a sunny day. We all had a barrel of laughs traveling in our boats.
We had great views over the countryside, steering around cliffs and gravel banks...which sometimes was quite a difficult task when at the same time watching the castles and vineyards.
After cooling down from the sun's heat by swimming in the river, we all duly returned to Jena in the evening...exhausted, but happy!"
