Contents:
I would like to teach a basic course on chromatography, including the preparation of the samples. The course will cover gas chromatography as well as liquid chromatography. The lecture is intended for people with no knowledge or very little experience in chromatography.
I will talk about different detection methods but will not include mass spectrometry as there are specific courses for mass spectrometry.
My plan is to not give a Powerpoint presentation but rather teach an old style black board lecture. I would like to make it interactive, so I thought of discussing the analysis of compounds that you currently want to analyze in your projects. It would help me, if you could send me names or structures of compounds that you would like to analyze beforehand (reichelt(at)ice.mpg.de). However, the course will not include a practical part. The format is 2 times 90 min.
