JSMC course: An Introduction to Intercultural Communication and Cultural Skills

Theme of the workshop:

Presented by Simplefive, a language and consulting company based in Jena, this one-day workshop will give you an introduction into the world of intercultural communications and show you how to make it in Germany. A must for international doctoral students undertaking their studies in Germany and looking to enhance their future career prospects either here or abroad, this interactive and exciting workshop features lectures, discussions, activities, simulations, exercises and real-life case studies. Participants will be guided through the theory of intercultural communications and shown how an understanding of cultural differences is crucial for success in the workplace. In addition, the workshop focuses on Germany-specific elements, with the aim of making participants more comfortable with, and culturally aware of, their German surroundings.
