Joint Symposium by JSMC and ILRS


The second symposium of the JSMC was held together with the associated „International Leibniz Research School for Microbial and Biomolecular Interactions (ILRS Jena)“. Thirty-nine talks and 26 posters were presented at the 2-day event. Four outstanding international scientists gave keynote lectures. All session were chaired by JSMC and ILRS students.

Presentation Awards

The following four student presentations got awards:

"Regulation of cell wall integrity signalling by mitogen?activated protein kinase MpkA in Aspergillus fumigatus", talk by Radhika Jain (ILRS)

"Fungal gene regulation during Streptomycete interaction", talk by Hans?Wilhelm Nützmann (JSMC)

"The genome of the endofungal bacterium Burkholderia rhizoxinica”", poster by Gerald Lackner (ILRS)

"Candida albicans microevolution during coincubation with macrophages",  poster by Anja Lüttich (JSMC)
